Mode of Delivery
In each term at least one unit is taught face to face. This full-time course is delivered in a blended mode for 20 hours plus 10 hours per week self-study during the term.

The program for BSB80320 Graduate Diplomaof Strategic Leadership is delivered Monday and Tuesday – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday – 9:00 am to 2:30 pm over 52 Weeks (fulltime), classroom/ Online – 20 hours per week. 40 weeks term time and 12 weeks in term breaks.

BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership course provides the opportunity to people to make high-level decision and provide them skill and knowledge to use judgement and initiative to implement leadership and management responsibilities. They are accountable to analyse information from a range of sources to create solutions to complex problems and create strategies for improvement by consolidating and synthesising knowledge. Course Requirements
General Requirements
- Be of the age of 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission.
- Have an overall IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent in line with Department of Home Affairs regulations.
- Or have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.
- Have completed a bachelor’s degree in related fields of study and 2 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
- Have five years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
English Language Entry Requirements:
- IELTS score 5.5 minimum (no lower than 5.0 in each band); or
- Cambridge First Certificate of English – Grade C (162-168); or
- TOEFL Paper-based (PBT) score of 525; or
- TOEFL Internet-based (IBT) score 70; or
- TOEIC (list/Read-620; Speak/Writ-260); or
- PTE Score 42
The English Language competency must be current.
Basic Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of common computing terms and word processing
- Proficiency with web browser software and sending/receiving e-mail including e-mail with attachment.
- Familiarity with navigating the Internet
- Familiarity with using Microsoft Office

Assessment Overview
Assessment marking system:
- Each unit of competency in BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership comprises of assessment tasks such as Written Knowledge Assessments, Projects, Case Studies, Practical Demonstrations, and Assessor Observations which must be completed in full before being submitted for marking. Assessments for qualifications are competency based, which means students are assessed against the unit of competency (unit) requirements.
Once a student receives a satisfactory result for all required assessment tasks, a Competent (C) outcome will be awarded for the entire unit. The student must demonstrate their understanding of all competency standards in each unit before receiving a competent outcome.
Students have three (3) attempts to demonstrate competency, otherwise a unit re-enrolment fee applies (please see fee schedule contained in the International Student Fees and Refund Policy and Procedure.
Learner Resources
SCSB provides BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership students with access to a wide range of learning resources including Learner’s Guide or Student Workbook, access to ‘Handout’ folders in the Student online portal, which contains handouts under each of the unit’s assessment resources. All additional resources will be provided through Moodle where relevant. Learning context is drawn from various sources such as learner resources, Power point slides, Lesson Plans, real-life business casestudies through online research, and previous experiences of Trainer/Assessors. All students can obtain the hard copies of available resources, should they desire.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer
RPL/Credits may be offered to any Learner who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within this qualification.
NB: RPL and Credit Transfer must be processed and approved before the starting of the course.

This unit offers skills and knowledge required to apply critical thinking to develop solutions to complex issues arising in the workplace. Students can gain the knowledge of decision-making processes which includes barriers to effective decision-making.
BSBSTR802 – Lead strategic planning processes for an organisation
This unit offers skills and knowledge required to demonstrate senior leadership behavior. Students can gain personal and professional competence which are widely used and is vital at work.

This unit provides skills and knowledge required to develop and maintain information and data systems to support decision making, and to optimise the use of knowledge and learning throughout the organisation.
BSBSTR801 – Lead innovative thinking and practice
This unit offers foundational skills and knowledge required to review an organisation’s digital strategy and assess whether it is fulfilling its objectives according to relevant performance indicators.
BSBTEC601 – Review organisational digital strategy
In this unit, students are required to consult with stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate the corporate social responsibility policy in an organisation. Students will need to identify and establish CSR.
BSBCRT611 – Apply critical thinking for complex problem solving
In this unit, students are required to undertake budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting. It includes contributing to reviewing financial information, analysing financial risks, preparing a budget, and reporting on financial activity.
